Have you taken a CNA course in the past? Been unsuccessful in passing the clinical skills portion of the exam? Or maybe you were previously licensed as a CNA and have lapsed? If so, maybe the clinical refresher course is just what you need to prepare for clinical portion of the CNA exam.
Do I qualify for clinical refresher workshop?
You must contact Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). DADS staff will inform you if approved, then DADS staff will send you a letter to bring in the Elite Medical Academy to retest. Student must have a letter from DADS stating that you may ”Test Only”. Elite Medical Academy will provide a refresher course and skills review to allow you to test with our school.
Instructors will demonstrate all clinical skills required for exam testing, from start to finish, refreshing you of the guidelines and expectations to successfully pass the State exam. Once all clinical skills have been demonstrated, you will have full use of the classroom to practice your clinical skills at will, through assistance and supervision of the instructor. This way you can focus your practice time exactly as you want and at the speed that you want. The second day of class is all open practice time so that you can be assured of ample training time.
